Liebe Yogaübende und liebe Yogafreundinnen und Yogafreunde,
der jährliche LOY- Herbstkongress vom 6. – 10. Oktober 2023 in der Burg Lantershofen steht bevor.
Das Thema in diesem Jahr ist die
“European Convention for certified teachers – 2009 – taught by Geeta S. Iyengar”
Zu dieser Europäischen Lehrer-Konferenz war Geeta S. Iyengar von Lydie Drivière (France), Judith Jones und Mary Heath (GB) und Rita Keller (Deutschland) eingeladen worden, da es unterschiedliche Standards, ein unterschiedliches Verständnis der Methode sowie der Umsetzung dieser in den jeweiligen europäischen Ländern gab.
Geeta folgte dieser Einladung gerne, auch insbesondere deshalb, weil auch sie diese Unterschiede in all den Jahren wahrgenommen hatte, wenn sie in Pune die Klassen mit TeilnehmerInnen aus vielen Ländern unterrrichtete. In den 5 Tagen in Köln vermittelte sie immer wieder Basiswissen (basic knowledge) auf dem sie alles Weitere aufbaute. Auf dieser Grundlage entstanden auch die DVDs, sowie die Aufzeichnungen, die zu einem Lehrbuch zusammengeführt und vom IYD e.V. verlegt wurden.
Dem folgend wird Rita Keller unsere diesjährige Light-on-Yoga Convention aufbauen und gestalten, da das von Geeta S. Iyengar auf der Convention 2009 in Köln unterrichtete Basiswissen unerlässlich für unsere Übungs- und Lehrpraxis ist. Es ist gültiges Wissen.
Abgerundet wird der Kongress durch das Konzert “Peace on Earth Music” mit Dinesh Mitra: Bansuri, Rita Naka: Violin, Marko Mrdya: Piano am 7. Oktober 2023 (Beginn 19:00h) in der Kirche St. Lambert (neben der Burg).
Das Anliegen der LOY-Academy ist das Vermitteln, Teilen und Vertiefen des Wissens in der Tradition von B.K.S. Iyengar.
Wir freuen uns auf einen aktiven und fruchtbaren Kongress.

Dear Yoga Practitioners and Friends,
the annual LOY Autumn Congress from 6 – 10 October 2023 at Burg Lantershofen is coming up.
The subject this year is the
“European Convention for certified teachers – 2009 – taught by Geeta S. Iyengar“.
Geeta S. Iyengar had been invited to this European Teachers’ Convention by Lydie Drivière (France), Judith Jones and Mary Heath (GB) and Rita Keller, because there were different standards, different understandings of the method and its implementation in the respective European countries.
Geetaji was happy to accept this invitation, especially because she had noticed these differences over the years when she taught classes in Pune with participants from many countries. During the 5 days in Cologne, she repeatedly imparted basic knowledge on which she built up. This was the basis for the DVDs and the recordings that were compiled into the textbook and published by IYD e.V..
Following Geetaji’s structure and teaching, Rita Keller will build and design our Light-on-Yoga Convention this year, as the basic knowledge taught by Geetaji at the Convention in 2009 is indispensable for our practice and teaching. It is valid knowledge and of utmost importance for us.
The congress will be rounded off by the concert “Peace on Earth Music” with Dinesh Mitra: Bansuri, Rita Naka: Violin, Marko Mrdya: Piano on 7th October 2023 (beginning 19:00h) in the church of St. Lambert (next to the castle).
The aim of LOY Academy is to transmit, share and deepen the knowledge in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar.

Peace on Earth Concert
“Peace on Earth Music” mit Dinesh Mitra: Bansuri, Rita Nakad: Violin, Marko Mrdya: Piano am 7. Oktober 2023 (um 19:00 Uhr) in der Kirche St. Lambert (neben dem Schloss).
Dinesh Mishra, in Varanasi / Indien geboren. Als Bansuri Spieler war er Meisterschüler des weltberühmten Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, unter anderen Meistern der indischen Musik, und ist heutzutage ein etablierter Musiker in Deutschland, ganz Europa und Indien. Er wohnt seit 2007 in Deutschland und arbeitet regelmäßig mit renommierten Künstlern wie Markus Stockhausen und Jorge Bardo zusammen. Er hat über 20 CDs aufgenommen. Als Komponist verfügt er über mehr als 25 Jahre Erfahrung in Bollywood, und durch zahlreiche Kollaborationen mit verschiedenen KünstlerInnen hat Dinesh Musikstile wie Jazz, Flamenco, Filmmusik, elektronische, meditative, Welt- und westliche klassische Musik in seine Kunst integriert.

Dinesh Mishra, born in Varanasi / India. As a bansuri player he was a master student of the world famous Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, among other masters of Indian music, and is nowadays an established musician in Germany, all over Europe and India. He has lived in Germany since 2007 and regularly collaborates with renowned artists such as Markus Stockhausen and Jorge Bardo. He has recorded over 20 CDs. As a composer, he has over 25 years of experience in Bollywood, and through numerous collaborations with various artists, Dinesh has integrated musical styles such as jazz, flamenco, film music, electronic, meditative, world and western classical music into his art.
